return & exchange policy

 

if you would like to return or exchange for any reason you may do so within 30 days of receipt. please send the unworn item(s) in their original condition including tags, polybags and hygiene seals and follow the step by step instructions at tropicofc.loopreturns.com to complete your return or exchange.

 

tropic of c reserves the right to deny a refund or exchange if items have been worn, soiled, laundered or altered in any way. items may not be canceled or edited once the order is placed.

 

items marked FINAL SALE cannot be returned or exchanged.

 

if you are ordering from the EU, please refer to the EU return & withdrawal policy section below — it sets out your statutory rights and differs from the terms above.

 

domestic returns:

 

a return shipping fee of $6.95 applies to all domestic (US) ecommerce returns and will be deducted from your refund. this fee is non-refundable. please allow 10–14 business days for your refund to be issued to your original payment method. refunds will be issued no later than 14 business days from the date we receive your returned item(s).

  • place the item(s) you are returning and the return packing slip in the shipping mailer.if available, please re-use original packaging.
  • drop off at your local US Postal Service location.

 

international returns:

 

all international returns are at the expense of the customer. please be sure that your package is insured, traceable and prepaid. international customers are responsible for all shipping and duty fees. therefore, tropic of c is unable to issue a refund for those costs.

  • place the item(s) you are returning and the return packing slip in the shipping mailer. if available, please re-use original packaging.

EU return & withdrawal policy

 

your right to cancel (statutory withdrawal right)

 

if you are a consumer ordering from the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, for any reason and without justification, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and its implementing legislation in your country of residence. this right applies even to items marked as sale, clearance, or discounted — discounted pricing does not remove your statutory right to withdraw.

 

to exercise this right, notify us within 14 days of receipt by contacting us at hello@tropicofc.com or by starting your return at tropicofc.loopreturns.com. you then have a further 14 days to send the item(s) back to us. once we receive the returned item(s), or proof that they have been sent back, we will refund the price you paid for the item(s), together with the standard delivery cost of your original order, within 14 days. we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever is earlier.

 

items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition, including all tags, polybags, and hygiene seals intact. items with a broken hygiene seal (including swimwear bottoms) cannot be returned, in accordance with the hygiene-goods exemption under Article 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU. this does not affect your right to inspect the item as you reasonably would in a shop before deciding whether to keep it.

 

you may cancel your order at any time before or after dispatch, up until the 14-day withdrawal period has elapsed.

 

beyond the statutory period: our voluntary 30-day return policy

 

in addition to your statutory rights above, we offer a voluntary right to return or exchange most items within 30 days of receipt, provided they are unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags, polybags, and hygiene seals intact.

 

items marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for return or exchange under this voluntary 30-day policy. this does not affect your separate statutory right to withdraw within 14 days described above, which applies regardless of sale or discount status.

costs of returning items

 

return shipping costs for international returns, including from the EU, are the customer’s responsibility, except where you are exercising your statutory withdrawal right and a refund of return shipping is required under the mandatory law of your country of residence. please ensure your package is insured, traceable, and prepaid. you remain responsible for any customs duties or import fees incurred.

your rights are not limited

 

nothing in this policy limits, excludes, or restricts any right you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. if any part of this policy conflicts with such laws, that part will be read in the manner most favorable to you as required by applicable law, and the remainder of this policy will continue to apply.
